About Me.
|
My husband says "You're not a woman, you're Andrea."
It makes me laugh, but I understand what he means. I'm not a fan of shopping. I'm not into designer purses, shoes, or jewelry. If I have to go out of the house I'll begrudgingly put on some makeup (well, some eyeliner) and haphazardly run a comb through my hair. I don't need a big house or fancy car. The only thing I like to spend money on is food or kitchen gadgets. I like football, have been a screaming fan in the audience for some old-time wrestling, love to sit quietly and fish, and my favorite part of the county fair is the demolition derby. I'm just me. EDUCATION
I graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in English. It took me twice as long as everyone else to get that degree and I proudly hang it on my office wall in a dollar store frame. I got my degree because I loved to read and write. Not because I was going to "become" any particular kind of worker. Especially a virtual assistant! EXPERIENCE
My first job was working as a bagger for Kroger during high school. That was when you had to count returnables by hand and there was no option for "plastic." Just paper. All of my work experience makes me a great virtual assistant. Probably one of the best if I felt the need to brag. I've done just about everything: Cashier, Customer Service, Route Accountant, Remote Encoder for the Post Office, Project Administrator, Admin Assistant, Server, Software Instructor, Answering Service Message Recording... to name a few. So you know I'm real and have an actual background, here's my LinkedIn profile. WHY I WANT TO MENTOR/COACH
Everything I've done has made me quite exceptional at helping my clients. I have some crazy knowledge going on in my head and I want to make sure that entrepreneurs in the future have assistants as awesome as me to help them. (Yeah, that was an awful brag on my part!) Seriously though, I want to teach people who have a passion for virtual assistance so they can go out and be amazingly successful for years to come. |
